2022 Annual Report

Intro Letter

In 1971, Tri-City Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center opened its doors as Northwest Indiana’s first community mental health center. But as the needs of our communities grew, we expanded the scope of our care continuum to include addictions and primary health care as well as social services. Our full continuum of care offers primary and behavioral health services, as well as social services and specialized programs for children, adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through the fifty years that have passed, we have grown to become Indiana’s leading provider of community-based health and social services.

As time moves on and pushes us forward, we must make changes to adapt to the community around us. Our effort to treat each person as a whole throughout their journey in life now has its own “home” at Regional Care Group.

Through this collective effort, we will continue to grow—together—for the betterment of our communities. By integrating services offered at Regional Health Systems, Geminus Corporation and Lake Park Residential, we can provide care today that helps people have a better tomorrow.

Regional Health Systems found recognition in the community and by the NWI Times for our new NaloxBoxes. Narcan, a life-saving medicine for opiate overdoses, became available to the public for free outside RHS buildings in Merrillville, Hammond and East Chicago.

We were also able to announce the partnership between Regional Health Systems and IU School of Medicine Psychiatry Residency program. This initiative will allow the next generation of psychiatrists to develop integrated models of care and increase access to psychiatric services in underserved communities.

Regional Care Group’s rebrand expanded into the Internet. Regional Health Systems saw an updated upgrade to its website. For the first time, Regional Care Group has its own website to explain, promote, and showcase the new brand. The new websites are more than just a place to learn about the company. It’s also a resource that helps users find answers to frequently asked questions, get important information on various open positions and learn about the  organizational culture. The Geminus website is being updated, and the new version will become available soon.

Growing a brand is no easy feat. Regional Care Group and its integrated services have made great strides in marking its place in our communities. We have spent this past year connecting with the public physically and virtually. We are proud of our accomplishments, and we look forward to continued growth in the years ahead.
